IPAD Lending Library
Wed 27 Jan 2021Good evening Parents and Carers,
I am delighted to say, whilst we are still waiting for our set of technological devices from the Government, Eldon has managed to look at its own stock and we have identified a handful of IPADS which we want to use as part of our 'IPAD Lending Library'. This will help facilitate learning for our children who currently are unable to take part in remote/home learning via ClassDojo.
Please take a look at the attached survey to share your children's needs and tell us about your situation.

Devices will be prioritised on a need by need basis. There will be a strict criteria and a 'loan agreement' which will need to be signed, as well as terms and conditions which will need to be met to ensure that the IPADS are used for home learning purposes only and kept safe and secure.
Thank you for your support and patience in this matte -
Be Kind, Be Cool, Be You!
Mon 25 Jan 2021Every Monday morning the Learning Mentor will be setting a task for the children to complete at some point in the week. This is aimed at supporting their mental health well being. I would really like to see what the children do.
This week we are going to look at being kind to ourselves.
I would love the children to draw a picture of themselves and write/draw around the picture what they are good at.
It can be anything at all. They may be good at football, counting, baking a cake, or Lego.
Please do send me a picture of this via Dojo. I will ask Mrs Butt to tweet some of the best.
Good luck everyone. -

Hello,
I hope this finds you safe and well. 😊
Today I’m sharing another large resource with links to ideas to promote exercise through movement and play at home.
It’s been put together especially for Lancashire. 🌹
There is something there for every year group to help the children access the physical and mental benefits of choosing to move.
Let us know if any content inspires movement in your household. - Miss Frew is keeping her eye on the class feeds 😁
Be well
Stay safe 🌈
Choose to move 💪

Parent Gym
Tue 19 Jan 2021Parentgym is the parent course we run in school. Currently we are unable to do this due to the current situation. However, Parentgym have devised eight short digital, bite-sized modules which parents can access on their phones or devices, to help families stay calm and positive through the coming weeks.
https://parentgym.com/workouts/
Parentgym have also set up a group bringing parents together to share stories, thoughts, tips and ideas on how to get through these challenging times.

Having access to a school library is really important for children. School libraries nurture a love of reading that can enrich children’s literacy skills, academic achievements and mental wellbeing. The Virtual School Library will ensure children have access to the magical world of stories all year round, whether they are learning at school or at home.
Happy reading! 💙📚 -
