Northwest IQM Cluster Group Visit Eldon
Fri 15 Mar 2024Eldon proudly shared its learning philosophy with several schools from IQM Northwest Cluster Group. Visiting Headteachers and staff relished the opportunity to see Eldon in action including its many creative vehicles for learning (Eldon House, 4D Immersive Room, Eldon FM, Eldon TV and Eldon Forest and The Burrow) which help to breakdown our many barriers to learning!

Let's Go Sing 2024
Fri 15 Mar 2024Year 4 learned several songs and performed these in front of a live audience!
They signed and sang with their hearts and souls at King Georges Hall, Blackburn! Well done, Year 4! Thank you, Miss Calvert, Miss Bradley and Governor Tosifa for escorting the children.

Everyone swims at Eldon!
Mon 11 Mar 2024Three weeks of swimming booked at Eldon! Intensive swimming for Year 6 pupils followed by Year 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Reception and then Nursery pupils! It's all going swimmingly well! Our expert swimming instructor is amazing at teaching the children to swim! The small steps are enabling everyone to achieve success!

Super Learning Day - Express Yourself!

Take 253 children, 26 staff and 12 volunteers (Eldon's Elders, Newman College students, parents) and what do you get? Inspired children who expressed themselves through sixteen learning opportunities celebrating and their backgrounds and cultures! Our Eldon Experts (children) enjoyed leading on learning and participating too! The learning agenda included The Windrush, Chinese New Year, Morris Dancing, made in Yorkshire, cooking red lentil dahl and chapaties, pea guacamole, sourdough and beans, yoga, boxing, cultural art, Islam, Dundee, debating and many many more!

Mental Health and Well- Being Week!
Sat 10 Feb 2024Our children enjoyed learning outdoors including Bikability; balancing , learning yoga techniques and happy breathing techniques!

National Online Safety Day!
Tue 06 Feb 2024All of our children thought of ways to make a difference to ensure a safer Internet experience for all! We renewed our Golden Rules for keeping safe, online. Children learned lots including reminding each other about how to report an issue to CEOP or to a trusted adult! Well done everyone!

National Story Telling Week!
Mon 29 Jan 2024Wow! What a fabulous storytelling week! Our children have mastered great skills! Thank you, National Literacy Hero, Richard O’Neil for weaving your magic to enhance our skills even further! The weather may have scuppered our plans for story time around the camp fire, but it didn’t dampen our spirits nor the enjoyment of Richards tales!
