Eldon's school community are getting ready to welcome some Royal visitors and Richard O’Neill, an internationally acclaimed performance Storyteller and National Literacy Hero! The children, staff, Governors and parents just can't wait! Keep an eye on the twitter feed for updates throughout the week!

Year 4's Assembly!
Fri 28 Jan 2022Year 4 children showcased their knowledge of times tables up to twelve!
From chanting their tables in unison to the fastest recall of facts, Yr4 children confidently shared their knowledge for the whole of the school to see.

Chinese New Year Celebrations!
Fri 28 Jan 2022Year 5 and Year 6 enjoyed a forest school session at Eldon's 'The Burrow.' Their aim was to make Chinese lanterns to mark Chinese New Year 2022!
The rest of the school are scheduled to participate on 31st January and 1st February! These outdoor activities are enhancing our 'well being.' The Chinese lanterns will be used for National Story Telling Week and during our special scheduled visit by National Literacy Hero Richard O'Neil!

Fire Safety Talks!
Fri 14 Jan 2022The local fire brigade visited Eldon and talked to Year 2 and Year 3 about fire safety. Our children learned lots of information about keeping themselves and others safe!

Reading Plus!
Mon 10 Jan 2022Our Year 6 children are attending sessions (before school) to trial Reading Plus! Our children are finding this resource particularly motivating and are delighted that it is helping to boost their reading skills. Our teachers and parents are very impressed too.
Year 2 are getting ready to trial this resource too!

Our youngest Nursery children are leading the way by teaching the rest of the school! Our parents are also getting involved! Top of the list is signing the British National Anthem to mark The Queen's Accession to the throne in 1952. Watch out for the clip to mark this occasion!
