Curriculum Implementation and Overview

Eldon School is delighted to update their creative curriculum to include the requirements of the National Curriculum 2014.

Staff at the school are using the Lancashire Support Materials to help with the delivery of our creative curriculum.

Alongside this, children have been consulted through the Learning Council as to what they would like to learn about too.

Please see the attached curriculum information which the teachers are using to plan their learning opportunities from.

Miss Power, our Acting Deputy Headteacher, who is leading the Curriculum in our school would be more than happy to answer any questions about the learning opportunities at our school.

The phonics scheme that we use in school is called 'Letters and Sounds'.  We have a number of published reading schemes in school to ensure children have access to a range of reading materials including Oxford Reading Tree. Mrs Power (EYFS and KS1 Lead and Literacy Co-ordinator) will be able to answer any questions about these schemes.
