Youth Sports Trust Healthy Movers

Eldon nursery children are loving being active, developing their locomotion, stability and object control, in their physical development sessions. The children are benefiting from the new resources from the Youth Sports Trust Healthy Movers course that Mrs Perry attended.  So far they have been  the Polar Express in their 'Choo Choo' sessions and little Christmas Robins in their 'Flying High' sessions.  All the children and the staff love the brilliant accompanying music too!

 

Eldon's super Playleader squad have been brilliant at keeping the children moving during the recent freezing weather! Super games led by the playleaders, and inspired by the key stage 1 and Foundation stage children have included: 

• Santa tag - When you are tug, you turn into santa and say " Ho, ho, ho"
• Jack Frost tag - When you are tug, you become frozen to the spot!
• Reindeer run - running, galloping races, complete with jingle bells
• Knock the hats off the elves - balance along the trip trail and knock the cones off the top of the posts
